VGMdb has been experiencing some growth pains, due in part to new features and expanded scope. This has led to quite a backlog in the moderation queues. As a stop-gap measure, we have drastically reduced the number of pending albums and drafts submitted by regular users.

This is only a band-aid however. A long-term solution is going to require some considerable development work on the moderation tools and processes. We are currently storyboarding some new ideas, but major emphasis is on making the process more visible to the public, so you will be able to see the queue, the status of submissions, and any communication.

In the meantime, please be patient.

A bit late to this, but I just wanted to thank everyone for keeping the site up and running. I've been using VGMdb ever since its early days (Gamingforce Audio, anyone?) and eventually decided to join up.

It takes a lot of effort to build a database as expansive as this, and although it certainly wouldn't have been possible without the great community behind it, it's the VGMdb staff that enabled and encouraged us to contribute. It's hard to find the right balance between strict guidelines (keeping everything neat and tidy but scaring off new members) and lax rules (sending the message that everyone can contribute even if submissions can be a bit messy at times). And it's impressive how VGMdb continues to grow despite these difficulties.

So, even though the pile may be growing, I think you'll do just fine. Keep up the great work (and don't be afraid to ask for donations if server costs should ever become an issue).
